Prodigy aerial slings (also known as silk slings, silk loops, and silk hammocks) are rigged as a hammock and are a fun and accessible way to combine trapeze and silk skills.
While distinct from aerial yoga, aerial sling practice is more dynamic and needs more height, there is a crossover between the disciplines, and you can use aerial sling for your yoga practice too!
The fabric is the same low stretch, 2.8m (110") wide used for Prodigy Aerial Silk and Yoga Hammocks.
The O-rings are included.
*The turquoise fabric is sensitive to UV light and will fade in direct sunlight or fluorescent lights. This will not affect the strength of the fabric.

Not every home/studio will be the same, so we cannot advise on this part. How to tie the knot!
No, we don't mean marriage. Here’s our quick guide to tying your hammock to O-rings.
We use this knot because it's easier (but not easy) to untie after using the hammock compared to other knots.
Selvedge
Prodigy silks are produced with gummed edges, which prevent the fabric from curling after production. These appear as a series of slightly darker circles.
To retain the full width of the fabric, these edges have not been trimmed.
Please rest assured that they do not affect the strength, durability, or function of the fabric.

Such lovely silks for teaching beginners, and for playing on if you have more advanced skills. They are soft, grippy and much more pleasant to work on than other silks I've used in the past. Really love the colours too!

They are a bit more slidey than I expected but I'm sure it just takes getting used to. I wish I had gotten a bit longer of a silk but that is completely on me.
Very happy with my new silk, exactly what I wanted, came very quickly and in a nice little carry bag for storage. Love it
While likely great for a sling in aerial yoga, this fabric is very thick with two strands together for aerial dance , most of my adult students cannot get their hands around it. Otherwise it’s excellent.

I have been using different silks (not FireToys or Prodigy) for years and wow, these are so much nicer to a) train on / have advanced or intermediate learners us and b) for total and utter beginners. I'm guessing this is because of the low stretch, but they are also much less slippery and the silver and pale lilac look sooo nice in our space! We have x 3 of these silks and will defo be getting more. Very highly recommend.
I have bought 2 of these and that are absolutely stunning! The grip is good and it is very true to what they say. Also, the delivery was extremely quick and stayed well packed. For performances, the colors are vibrant and will surely give a pop to your show. Overall I would 100% recommend.

The quality is really great. The touch is smooth, the shine amazing and the silk is relatively lightweight and wonderfully wide without being too thick when taking both sides together. It has hardly any stretch downwards, which is great for beginners. Only con: it is very, very slippery and I hope that it gets better with heavier use. Btw, delivery was super speedy, was there within 5 days, and thet outside of UK!
I really like the grip and the feeling of Prodigy silks, I love that it's so wide but still not hard to climb. Drops feel good and safe, and and the fabric has such a beautiful shine to it. I'm happy I bought it and I highly recommend it!

I just bought this silk and I love it. It's so shiny and the width is really beautiful when you open it out, especially under stage lights.
The only thing I would say is that this is not a good silk for beginners, or for anyone with a weak knee hocks. They're quite slippery (at least compared to the rosin-saturated silks at my training space), and the width takes some getting used to.
I wanted a fabric that I could use for both silks and have it wide enough to tie into a hammock and I love every inch of it!
I've had it for a year now and it has gained a little stretch from the tiny amount it had in the beginning, but it's not too much. The silk has a beautiful shine to it without being slippery and I like that it's wider than other silks. It is a bit heavy to pick it up for spinning and some wraps, but it also makes it easier to pick up a spin quickly.
I recently bought a silk for my daughters bedroom. I rang for advice and the lady I spoke to was knowledgeable and helpful. I hadn't realised there were different types of silks! The silk is perfect and my daughter absolutely loves it. Thank you
Beautiful silks, amazing colours that are very vibrant with a good amount of stretch and width however.. i have never know silks so prone to melting and getting holes in them without excessive or vigorous use!
As much as i'd like to get these silks again i don't think it would be a good idea.
