When I bought them, I realized the the fans do not open to a full 180° angle. They only open to about 150° so they're not as versatile or showy as my other set but they do very well and look very nice. These fans have very good, solid construction and thick wicks. They will last a long time. They are appropriate for spinners with experience and do well in performances. I would not recommend these for beginners as extendable fans are larger, more difficult and use techniques completely different than the smaller, fixed fans. The smaller fans are more appropriate for that.
The fins on my fans were not quite as long as I expected and compared to my other fans the fins were at least an inch shorter. Even as an experienced extendable fan spinner I found it very difficult to not get burned the first few times. The handle was very short for my palm so it's not as easy to keep a grip or to grab when flipping out the fans. My palm keept slipping until I added my own grip tape. There is grip material on the fins but not the handles. My other pair were a little easier to use.
Overall, these are very good fans. I will use them for practice and performance. I recommend these extendable fans.
