What are they for?

These heavy-duty, galvanized steel pins are designed to secure the feet of your Firetoys aerial rig on firm, solid ground and stop them from slipping.

When setting up your BigRig outdoors on a hard, reliable surface, simply hammer these heavy-duty pins down to the hilt. Once fully inserted, they lock the feet laterally and completely prevent the base from spreading.

By using these pins on solid ground, you eliminate the need to use the standard base straps, keeping your performance area neat, tidy, and free of trip hazards.

How They Work (and How They Don't)

It is important to note that these pins are designed to stop horizontal slipping, not vertical lifting.

Because the Firetoys BigRig has a strict usage limitation of a 45-degree angle, gravity naturally keeps the feet firmly planted during practice and performance. The feet will never lift off the ground during standard, safe use, so the pins do not need to hold the rig down. Instead, they act as a physical barrier to keep the feet exactly where you put them.
